PERFUMES
Each perfume in our fragrance collection is carefully crafted in small batches here on the island of Kaua'i using only the finest, organic ingredients. Handmade with love and bottled with aloha, ensuring that every fragrance is a true reflection of the beauty and spirit of Hawai'i.
EAU DE PARFUM vs PERFUME OIL
Perfume oil and perfume (eau de parfum) are two options that cater to individual preference. Perfume oil stands out for its unique blend of natural ingredients, including coconut oil, kukui nut oil, and vitamin E oil. These botanical oils not only create a subtle, nuanced scent but also provide nourishing benefits for the skin. Unlike eau de parfum, which is sprayed, perfume oil is applied directly onto the skin with a gentle roll, allowing for a more intimate and controlled fragrance experience. Plus, its compact size makes it the perfect travel companion, easily fitting into a purse or bag for on-the-go fragrance touch-ups.
LONGEVITY - EAU DE PARFUM vs PERFUME OIL
When it comes to fragrance longevity, our Eau de Parfum and Perfume Oil offer distinct benefits. Eau de Parfum is ideal for those seeking a more intense, long-lasting scent that can last up to 4-6 hours. Its concentrated formula provides a vibrant aroma that can be applied to both skin and clothing. In contrast, our Perfume Oils are made to be applied only onto the skin. Perfume oils offer a softer, more subtle fragrance suitable for everyday wear, with a typical duration of 2-3 hours.
NATURAL SOAPS
WHAT IS NATURAL SOAP?
Natural soaps are well, natural. They are made using a variety of natural sources, including organic ingredients. A natural soap is usually formed by combining plant-based oils and butters that are rich in nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants. These are the type of ingredients that your skin, hair and body need and will love. Natural soaps can also be enhanced with many other natural ingredients like salts, clays, plant extracts and essential oils, which have naturally occurring minerals and healing benefits.
Handmade soap retains its natural glycerin from the method of mixing Lye with fats (oils, such as coconut and olive). Through the saponification process (mixing these oils with lye) the chemical reaction creates a very high glycerin soap. You can feel the difference! It is completely natural and really good for your skin. With us, you get real soap.
WHAT'S SO BAD ABOUT COMMERCIAL SOAP?
Most commercially produced soaps contain lathering agents, stabilizers, synthetic fragrances, and preservatives. The color is synthetic and they aren't made "fresh". When looking at the ingredients in a commercially made soap, we usually see chemicals and words we can’t even pronounce.
Your skin is the body’s largest organ and it is very porous and absorbent. It absorbs whatever it comes in contact with. As important it is to feed our bodies with healthy and nutritious foods, it's just as important to feed our skin healthy products made with healthy ingredients.
These horrible chemicals and toxins find their way into our eco-system too! Every time a product goes down the drain, it's pollutants are going with it. Reports have revealed that synthetic chemicals from soap, body washes, shampoos and other products were getting through the filters at water purification plants. The list of offenders included phthalates, which are linked to reproductive disorders in both humans and animals, and parabens, a preservative, which is another carcinogen, and Sodium Laurel Sulphate, used as a lathering agent known as a carcinogen.
Buying and supporting all natural soap crafters creates healthier environments, communities, and bodies!
LOTION BARS
We are in LOVE with these all-natural, plastic free lotion bars! Unlike conventional lotions made with synthetic ingredients and preservatives, these lotion bars are all-natural and organic and made with local ingredients! These bars are super concentrated to last what would've been multiple bottles of lotion. Locally sourced beeswax, coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter, cocoa butter & essential oils are exactly what your skin needs for an everyday moisturizer! They are a better option for your wallet, your skin, and the planet!
HOW TO USE LOTION BAR?
Just warm the bar between your hands for a few seconds and massage into skin. You can apply directly onto your body, or you can pinch off a little piece and use that. It works even better when skin is slightly damp such as when getting out of the shower. It's not greasy, soaks in fast and leaves you with super soft skin! If your bar is really hard in the colder months, you can run it under warm water and it will loosen up easily. We recommend storing the product in a cool, dry place.
CAN I USE MY LOTION BAR IN THE SHOWER?
Absolutely! Lotion bars can be used in the shower as well! When you're done soaping and rinsing, just massage the bar onto your body. The warmth of the water will melt the oils and butters onto your skin.
IS MY LOTION BAR SAFE ON SENSITIVE SKIN?
Yes! Our lotion bars are made with 100% all-natural ingredients that are great for aiding your skin in healing different ailments such as eczema, psoriasis, sunburns, itchy skin, irritated skin, pregnant bellies, and much more.
HOW DO I PACK MY LOTION BAR TO GO?
Lotion bars are a great travel option- no liquid, no mess. Although it is heat-sensitive, the beeswax will keep your lotion bars solid unless exposed to extreme heat. Here are a few ways that our lotion bar has been packed up and successfully traveled with:
-Reusable beeswax wrap
-Wax paper
-Cotton bag
-Coffee filters (double wrapped)
-Ziplock/Silicone bags

WHAT IS A SHAMPOO BAR?
Majority of shampoos are in liquid form, these shampoos come in solid bar form - just like a bar of soap. We use all plant-based ingredients that cleanse and benefit your hair and scalp and make them into concentrated bars of shampoo! These solid shampoos do everything a liquid shampoo can do - cleanse, add volume and sheen, protect, add moisture - but require little to no packaging. Yay for the environment!
HOW DO SHAMPOO BARS WORK?
Shampoo bars are super concentrated, to get it lathering, simply mixed with water in your shower. When the bars are used with water, they lather up and that lather can be used to cleanse hair like regular shampoo.
HOW TO USE A SHAMPOO BAR?
Rub the solid shampoo down your hair until it lathers it up, or rub the bar between your hands to create a soapy lather. Gently massage it into the scalp and hair, just as you would with a liquid shampoo. Rinse out and condition hair with conditioner or ACV (apple cider vinegar) hair rinse! Leave the shampoo bar out to dry (using a slated soap dish or something like that).
WHAT INGREDIENTS ARE IN YOUR SHAMPOO BARS?
Our shampoo bars are made with similar base ingredients: sodium coco sulfate (derived from coconut oil), coconut oil, palm oil, sunflower seed oil, jojoba oil, avocado oil, cocoa butter, shea butter, water, sodium hydroxide, yucca root and essential/fragrance oils. Each bar has it's own unique additives such as clays, plant powders and natural oils, but our base remains the same!
IS YOUR PALM OIL SUSTAINABLY SOURCED?
Of course! Many of you may notice "palm oil" in our list of shampoo bar ingredients. But no worries, our palm oil is sustainably sourced from farms in the US. It is also USDA and Oregon Tilth certified organic!
HOW LONG DO SHAMPOO BARS LAST?
Shampoo bars last an average of 50-70 washes! However it does differ amongst people with different hair types, lengths, thicknesses and also depending on how often it is used in general.
Shampoo bars are concentrated solid shampoo with no water content. With proper use and care they should last a really long time. These shampoo bars can do the job of 2 to 3 regular bottles of commercial liquid shampoo and there is no plastic bottle to throw away afterward!
SHAMPOO BAR TIPS:
Keep them dry between uses on a soap dish or on anything slated
Don't let your bar sit in water
If your bar ever gets waterlogged and gooey, set it aside and let it dry for a few days
CAN I USE A SHAMPOO BAR ON MY BODY?
Definitely! If you only want to take one bar with you when you travel or go to the gym or beach then a shampoo bar is a great option. The natural oils used to provide moisture to your hair will also cleanse and moisturize your entire body and are even safe enough to use on your face.
